Meet the Capps Ohana

Adam & Loren Capps are the husband-and-wife team behind Capps’ Custom Coops LLC and Capps Handyman Concierge Services.

Adam Capps has been in the construction industry for over 20 years — a skilled framer, finish carpenter, and remodeler who grew up in Seattle as a third-generation builder. After moving to the Big Island in 2016, Adam’s life took a new direction where he met Loren, found faith, and began serving the church through upgrades and repairs.

In 2017, Adam and Loren married, blending their families and their passions. Eventually, they moved to Oahu to be closer to family and find more opportunities in the construction field. Adam worked for several reputable local companies that praised his craftsmanship and attention to detail. But as his name grew, so did a desire to build something of his own, something rooted in faith, family, and community.

That vision came to life thanks to Loren, a self-proclaimed crazy chicken mama with a heart for rescuing animals and living sustainably. When the kids brought home an abandoned baby chick—soon named Chicken— what started as a rescue turned into a family mission. Loren dove headfirst into learning everything about raising chickens, while Adam began using his carpentry skills to build coops that were both beautiful and functional.

Together, they transformed a simple hobby into Capps’ Custom Coops LLC, combining Adam’s craftsmanship with Loren’s passion for animal care and homesteading. As their mini-homestead grew, so did their vision to help others create spaces that make island living easier, cleaner, and more sustainable.

From there, they expanded into Handyman Concierge Services, offering the same care and reliability that go into every custom coop, but for homes, yards, and small projects across Oahu.

Handyman Concierge Services

We know that home maintenance in Hawaii can be challenging —between salty air, humidity, and island wear-and-tear. That’s why we offer a range of handyman services built on trust, quality, and aloha.

Services include:

Small home repairs (doors, trim, drywall, flooring, paint touch-ups)

Fence and gate repairs or installation

Deck and lanai maintenance

Pressure washing and outdoor cleanup

Coop and garden prep work (leveling ground, building enclosures, clearing space)

Light carpentry and upgrades

Coop renovations (for our original builds)

Furniture assembly and installation help

Pricing:

Hourly rate: $125/hour (2-hour minimum)

Half-day rate (up to 4 hours): $450

Full-day rate (up to 8 hours): $800

Project-based quotes available upon request

Discounted rates available for Capps’ Custom Coop clients and repeat customers
